The Department of Veterans Affairs will fund Chiropractic services for eligible DVA members holding a DVA Gold card or a DVA White card. There is no additional charge on Chiropractic services at Cheltenham Family Chiropractic for eligible DVA members and we will bill DVA directly for your Chiropractic consultation.

You must obtain a referral to your chiropractor from one of the following; Chiropractor with current referral, GP, Local Medical Officer, Medical specialist, Doctor in Hospital, Hospital discharge planner.
These referrals are active for 12 months periods only. You must go see your GP or other source for a new referral every 12 months.
Tell your chiropractor you are a DVA Health Card patient, and present the card to reception. The Chiropractor will assess and diagnose you through orthopaedic tests and x-rays may need to be taken (which will also be covered by your DVA card). Your chiropractor will determine a suitable treatment plan and discuss this with you.
Yes, this is up to your treating Chiropractor. After assessing you they will establish the amount and frequency of services you require, as well as discuss the type of treatment you will be receiving.

No, DVA pays the Chiropractor directly for the services provided.
